The Rangers held a 74-44 advantage in total attempts

If you present this to James Tanner, he will assure you that the Rangers won the game.

4 games in & we've played pretty great hockey for the majority of these 4 games, sucks we only have 2 wins to show for it. Just keep putting that pressure on & the pucks will go in. Big game with the Caps coming up Saturday.

Clenndening was 2nd among Rangers D man in ice time. AV seems to like him out there, I doubt he sits when Girardi is ready

Watched the game at a friend's house last night. When I got home and read the comments, pretty much paralleled our conversation.
The game winner is on Hank. That would never have happened to Bad Marty. Hank should have spent the off season learning how to stick

Rangers look good, too bad they will have to face Pittsburgh or Washington in the first round of the play-offs #tankforwildcardposition

Clendening played 20:45, including 3:44 on PP. Take out the PPTOI, Clendening is at 17:01, which is fifth among the sixth d-man, solely above Brady Skjei, who played just 12:10. Meaning either Clendening or Skjei sits when Girardi is ready to go.

Lil bit early to speculate on that stuff but I know I would NOT be afraid of the Caps come playoff time. I don't care if they have 130 regular season points, they fold come playoff time, especially that 2nd round.

I have always wanted the trapezoid removed. But now I want it expanded to the entire ice surface. Incredible how 90% of the time Hank plays the puck he gives it right to the other team.

That's always been the weakest part of his game.

Even Strength time he was 2nd among all D men last night. I am not trying to start an argument just pointing out that AV seems to like him and that I doubt he sits.

I would have thought with Brodeur retired the league would have removed the stupid thing already. It's a ridiculous rule. Basically you contain the few goalies who are good at handling the puck and stop the guys who can't from shooting themselves in the foot. It probably net reduces offense by taking away these goalie turnovers.

Marty was insane w the puck. That actually was one of the few strengths of DiPietro's game. Too bad he couldn't do much else.

Even after watching Hank for the last decade, that Howard performance last night was in the top 5 I have ever seen from a goalie. Amazing

Protect the goaltender in the trapezoid, but let him play the puck in the corners and make him fair game for a hit.

Howard stole the game last night. No question about that.
Hank also blew it by coughing up the puck. Bad communication.

It was up there. Off the top of my head the best goaltending I have ever seen was against the Rangers. Patrick Roy in the 86 playoffs Game 3, out of his mind. Also Kirk McLean Game 1 Cup Finals 94, as JD said "if the Canucks win this game it will be like Jesse James walked into town."

zucc should hold class on the do's & donts ...

no question Howard stole it.

King Henri stole his fair share so its nice to see us steal one for a change. My god our d is bad, another few mins in that game and I am pretty sure, it would have been a shootout loss for DET.

best of luck the rest the year boys and girls, I know DET will need it.

Yeah should have said regular season. Hank had some beauts the beginning of last year but I just don't remember the sheer volume of breakaways and A+ scoring chances like last night.

Kelly Hrudey & Bob Mason were spectacular in that epic Gm 7, 4 OT game in the playoffs 1987.
